American Woodmark Corp. in Moorefield, WV is seeking an onsite HR professional to support hourly workforce coverage and assist with Safety/Compliance and Training/Development activities to meet plant goals.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role involves coordinating recruiting, policy guidance, and employee relations. The position emphasizes teamwork in a manufacturing setting and requires strong HR fundamentals and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of HR management experience; manufacturing preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, organization, and time management skills.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business/financial information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for hourly employees.
• Assist HR Manager with coordinating recruiting for salary and hourly roles.
• Provide counseling and support on policy, benefits, salary, training, and performance issues.
• Monitor local/state regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate employee files for hourly staff and oversee attendance policy.
• Represent the company in unemployment hearings as needed.
• Conduct investigations into employee complaints, including harassment or discrimination.
• Coordinate HR staff development with the HR Manager.
• Identify hiring needs and participate in employee selection and training.
