Position Title
HR SUPERVISOR
Pay Range
$21.00 to $25.00
Job Summary
The Human Resources Supervisor assists with various functions in support of the company’s hiring needs. Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including but not limited to staffing, recruitment, training, and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client‑centric manner
- Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and employee relations documents, including proposed disciplinary notices
- Assist with staffing, including check‑in and check‑out procedures for events
- Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co‑workers and employees
- Assist with events, projects and coordinate employee appreciation activities
- Support the process for selecting and onboarding new employees
- Attend job fairs and career events
- Assist with New Hire Orientation
- File documents into appropriate employee files
- Monitor compliance with I‑9 and Human Resources policies, practices and procedures
- Maintain company bulletin boards to ensure compliance with federal, state and local posting requirements
- Audit employee files as needed
- Assist with processing terminations
- Act as gatekeeper for keeping track of employees’ certifications, keeping them up to date and current throughout the season
- Make photocopies, scan documents and perform other clerical functions
- Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by HR Director and Vice President
- Answer employee requests and questions with escalation as needed; direct employees to appropriate resources
- Prepare correspondence
- Prepare new team member files
- Process mail
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
- Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high‑pace and occasionally stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
Education and Experience
- Human Resources or related field experience
- At least two years related experience required
