Job summary

California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for a Student Assistant in the Human Resources Division. Under supervision from the Associate Director and with the Vice President’s office, you will support benefits, payroll, recruitment, and other HR programs, performing day-to-day tasks and maintaining records.

Preference will be given to students in HR-related fields. The role is on-campus, part-time, with an hourly wage of $16.90.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Vice President and Executive Assistant to support day-to-day tasks for various HR departments.
• Assist with HR programs including benefits, compensation and classification, payroll, and training.
• Contribute to employee relations and recruitment activities as needed.
