Job summary

The State of Maryland's MDH-Holly Center in Salisbury, MD seeks an HR professional to advise, interpret, and apply HR laws, policies, and guidelines to resolve diverse issues. You will manage payroll, timekeeping, recruitment, Workday events, and retirement benefits coordination to support employees and operations.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional HR experience involving recruitment and employment services, classification and compensation, employee relations, test development and validation, job analysis, job evaluation, salary administration, HR program evaluation or HR policy formulation.
• Experience substituting paraprofessional personnel work for required experience is allowed.
• Alternatives include substitution with a Bachelor's degree plus one year of relevant HR experience or thirty graduate credits in HR/related fields.

Responsibilities

• Advise, interpret, and apply HR laws, policies, and guidelines to resolve HR issues.
• Manage payroll and timekeeping, recruitment, Workday events, and coordination of agency and retirement benefits.
• Operate with high proficiency and independent decision making to support the MDH-Holly Center and its employees.
• Participate in salary administration, job analysis, and HR program evaluation as needed.
