Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an HR Specialist to support its Savannah-area warehouse and logistics operations across four local facilities. This hands-on role partners with the HR Manager to handle talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, analytics, leave administration, and engagement.

You will manage the full employment lifecycle, including postings, background checks, and onboarding, while building strong relationships with leaders and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of HR-related experience.
• Ability to build strong relationships across organizational levels.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Thrives in fast-paced, changing environments.
• Customer-service mindset with a results- and process-oriented approach.
• Collaborate across teams and balance multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Google apps and Microsoft Office, including pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR resource and liaison across Savannah-area facilities.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and postings.
• Support recruiting and onboarding to attract and retain qualified talent.
• Manage posting, pre-employments, background checks, and offer documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding through the 90-day introductory period.
• Maintain Driver Qualification files for CDL positions (if applicable).
• Assist with employee relations matters and investigations.
• Provide HR analytics and reporting on recruiting, hiring, turnover, attendance, and engagement.
• Support leave management and transitional duty programs.
• Contribute to community outreach initiatives.
