Job summary

U.S. Army Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA) in Washington state seeks a qualified HR specialist to provide a full range of human resources services to managers and employees.

The role advises management on complex personnel issues, supports staffing, pay administration, training, benefits, and labor relations, and may supervise lower graded HR staff as needed. Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office is required.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of work experience in a human resources office with knowledge in staffing, recruitment, classification, MER, LR or training.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work with various human resources information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of HR services for managers and employees; advises management on complex personnel issues.
• Performs staffing, pay administration, training, incentive awards, performance administration, benefits, portability of benefits, and labor relations.
• Applies regulatory knowledge to resolve routine and complex issues pertaining to NAF employment.
• Monitors, directs and oversees a team of lower graded HR staff when required.
