Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) in Millington, TN seeks an HR Specialist to service the Family Readiness Program (N91). The role focuses on recruitment, processes personnel actions, and advising managers on staffing strategies within CNIC NAF HQ and regional offices.

The candidate will participate in management development programs and support intern placements, requiring strong HR knowledge, data analysis, and effective communication in a federal government setting.

Qualifications

• Three years of specialized HR experience in a HR office.
• Knowledge of HR theories, concepts, and practices in classification, recruiting, employee relations, labor relations, benefits, and retirement.
• Knowledge of CNIC structure and mission(s) of serviced organizations to provide full HR services.
• Knowledge of HR laws and DoD, CNIC, OPM, DON policies and procedures.
• Ability to interpret OPM classification guidelines to assist managers in developing position descriptions.
• Ability to analyze resource requirements and develop training plans for management programs.
• Proficient use of HRIS (e.g., SAPHR, DCPS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to prepare reports.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical work in recruitment, selection, and placement within the Family Readiness Program.
• Advise managers on recruiting strategies, processes, and relocation programs (PCS).
• Process personnel actions using CNIC NAF SAPHR system.
• Ensure accurate payments related to recruiting actions and PCS claims.
• Contribute to MLDP and Intern Program efforts for management development.
