Job summary

US-Department-of-Veterans-Affair is seeking a Human Resources Specialist - Reasonable Accommodation Coordinator (RAC) to join our Human Resources Division.

You will serve as the primary contact for reasonable accommodation matters, providing guidance and administrative support to employees, managers, and supervisors. This position reports to the Chief Human Capital Officer and supports both VCS employees and the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of general Human Resources experience demonstrating strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply HR policies, guidelines, and regulations.
• Experience applying Federal HR regulations (38 U.S.C. 7802, Title 5, Title 38) in HR operations.
• Ability to work with HR professionals across Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to support hiring policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presentations to employees, managers, and leadership.
• Experience across Personnel Actions, Recruitment, Classification, Compensation, Employee Relations, Training, and Reasonable Accommodation.
• Ability to provide guidance to managers on HR policies and best practices.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
