Job summary

Garelick Farms, a Dairy Farmers of America company, seeks a Human Resources Specialist to support payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations at our Franklin, MA location.

You will administer payroll, process onboarding and benefit enrollments, and help manage leave and compliance tasks. The role offers growth opportunities in a three-shift operation with occasional events and training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or related
• Undergraduate HR coursework or degree preferred
• 1-3 years HR experience, generalist role preferred
• Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll processing, tracking, auditing, and corrections
• Perform recruiting activities including resume screening and scheduling interviews
• Assist with sourcing strategies to support staffing needs
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of temporary employees with agencies
• Coordinate candidate travel and expense submissions for interviews
• Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation
• Coordinate new employee paperwork including tax forms, I-9, and E-verify
• Liaise on benefits questions and open enrollment
• Process terminations and employee changes timely for payroll
• Facilitate leave management across systems and payroll
• Maintain employee files and payroll/benefits documentation
• Respond to HR inquiries and support management
• Support corporate communications and postings
• Maintain employment law postings
• Support employee engagement and training activities
• Complete unemployment claims and participate in events
• Occasional off-shift work for events/training/engagement
• Frequent floor/walk-throughs in distribution area
