Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree and/or human resources coursework preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of human resources experience, preferably in a generalist role.
• Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll processing (tracking, auditing, transmitting, correcting).
• Perform recruiting activities for the location (resume screening, interviews, background checks).
• Assist HR with sourcing and hiring strategies to support staffing needs.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of temporary employees with staffing agencies.
• Coordinate travel for candidates and submit expense reports for interview-related costs.
• Assist with or facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation; ensure paperwork including tax docs, I-9, E-verify is complete.
• Serve as liaison for benefits questions and enrollment.
• Process terminations and employee changes to payroll.
• Support leave management and ensure smooth payroll/benefits transactions.
• Maintain personnel files and documentation; follow up on missing items.
• Respond to HR inquiries and assist management with information.
• Coordinate training activities and participate in DairyU meetings.
• Complete unemployment claims in required timeframes.
