Job summary

Fermi America is building Project Matador, a landmark energy and digital infrastructure program in the United States. The Human Resources Specialist will support talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, HR systems, and engagement initiatives to enable rapid organizational growth.

The role emphasizes scalable HR processes, collaboration with managers, and a strong focus on data-driven workforce planning for a major national project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• 2+ years of HR experience across multiple HR disciplines.
• Experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, or HR operations.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS and HR reporting tools.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support talent acquisition and workforce planning activities.
• Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation programs.
• Serve as a primary contact for HR programs, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with employee relations, performance coaching, and corrective actions.
• Manage HR documentation, records, and HRIS data integrity.
• Generate reports and workforce analytics for leadership decisions.
• Support benefits administration and leave management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
