Job summary

Fermi America is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, HR systems, and engagement for Project Matador.

This role partners with managers across construction, energy, and digital infrastructure to implement scalable HR processes, drive a positive workplace culture, and ensure timely HR operations during rapid growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• 2+ years of HR experience across multiple disciplines.
• Experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, or HR operations.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and HR reporting tools.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities from posting to offer administration.
• Coordinate onboarding and new-hire orientation.
• Advise managers on employee relations and performance concerns.
• Assist benefits enrollment and leave administration.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate workforce analytics.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support HR process improvements and documentation.
• Coordinate training, development, and engagement initiatives.
