Job summary

gategroup is seeking an HR Specialist (6 Months Temporary) to support and enhance HR initiatives. The role covers orientation, policy explanations, program design, record maintenance, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 2 years of college (or equivalent) and 2–4 years HR experience, with knowledge of employment law, and proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint. Travel up to 15% and non-exempt status apply.

HR Specialist (6 Months Temporary) Target Pay Range: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Delivers new hire orientation and other training programs as needed.
  • Understands and explains company policies, programs, benefits and related information.
  • Assists with unit-specific program design, development and implementation; and assists with implementation of any enterprise-wide programs, as needed.
  • Maintain employee personnel files, bulletin boards, recruiting tracker, exit interview tracker, and attendance system.
  • Ensures that weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: 2 years college or equivalent is preferred.
  • Work Experience: Prior work experience with at least 2-4 years of experience in a human resources related role.
  • Experience working in airline, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing or food service environment highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration) General Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment law.
