Job summary

H MART - CA Warehouse is seeking an HR Coordinator to support internal and external HR matters, assist in recruitment, and ensure legal compliance. You will help develop guidelines, investigate complaints, and coordinate onboarding for new hires.

The role operates Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, in Whittier, CA. Eligible candidates must be bilingual Korean and English, with 1+ year HR experience and a Bachelor's in HR or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is required.
• 1+ years of HR experience.
• Bilingual in Korean and English required.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Knowledge of COBRA, EEO, FMLA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all internal and external HR related matters.
• Develop organizational guidelines and procedures.
• Assist with recruitment by identifying candidates.
• Investigate employee complaints.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
• Coordinate onboarding: orientation, new hire paperwork, payroll/benefits interfacing.

Description

Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Assist with all internal and external HR related matters


• Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures


• Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates


• Investigate complaints brought forward by employees


• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local employment, pay and workplace laws and regulations


• Partner closely with Legal, Payroll department to establish alignment and respond to compliance inquiries


• Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices


• Provide support in all HR - related disciplines, including, but not limited to, organizational development, employee relations, talent management, organizational redesign, and performance management and employee development.


• Coordinate and execute all aspects of bringing onboard a new employee including scheduling orientation, preparing new hire packets, collecting and processing new hire paperwork, interfacing with payroll/benefits.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or the related field is required


• Basic knowledge of COBRA, diversity/EEO, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations is preferred and must have a strong intellectual curiosity to stay informed against complaint with employment laws and HR practice communication skills across all levels of the organization


• Work comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines


• 1+ years of human resources experience


• Meticulous attention to detail


• Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.


• Bilingual in Korean and English is a must
