Job summary

Brown University Health in Providence, RI is seeking an HR Service Center Representative to serve as the frontline contact for employees. You will address HR questions, resolve issues, and guide colleagues through HR processes and procedures.

Reporting to the Program Manager, HR Service Center, you will support onboarding, benefits enrollment, payroll issues, and confidential data handling while upholding the organization's values of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service; HR experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with HR information systems preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proven ability to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as frontline contact for employees on HR policies, benefits, and employment matters.
• Assist with onboarding, benefits enrollment, and updating personal information.
• Resolve payroll, benefits, and workplace policy issues promptly.
• Escalate complex cases to Tier 2/3 as needed and communicate next steps.
• Maintain accurate records using the HR information system.
• Educate employees about HR programs and self-service resources.
• Protect sensitive information with confidentiality.
