Job summary

Albany State University seeks an HR Generalist to support onboarding, benefits, leave administration, and HR data compliance. You will manage the Day One experience, coordinate with IT and facilities, and serve as a first HR touchpoint for employees and managers.

The role requires 2–4 years of HR experience in transactional/shared-services work, with a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field. Knowledge of PeopleSoft or Workday is a plus, and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years HR experience in transactional/shared-services roles.
• Experience with onboarding, benefits, leave administration, and HR data/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding lifecycle: I-9/E-Verify, background checks, file setup, Day One provisioning.
• Administer benefits enrollment and leave transactions, coordinate with Total Rewards and carriers.
• Manage HR case intake and routing; provide first-contact support and document interactions.
• Maintain HR data accuracy in PeopleSoft/Workday; produce routine HR reports for COE.
• Support compliance records for EEOC, FLSA, ADA, FMLA and COBRA; assist audits.
