Job summary

University of Utah is seeking a Human Resources Service Center Representative to provide HR support to employees, answering questions via the telephone and/or Internet. Assist employees with benefit elections and changes.

Possess thorough knowledge of organization’s human resources policies and procedures. The University of Utah offers a comprehensive benefits package and supports a hybrid work schedule, with a rotating front desk requirement in downtown Salt Lake City every 5 weeks and

Qualifications

• Equivalency statement allows 1 year of higher education to substitute for 1 year of related work experience.
• Requires little to no related experience.
• Experience in call center or high-volume customer service is preferred.
• Strong active listening and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to HR inquiries via phone and internet.
• Assist employees with benefit elections and changes.
• Maintain knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
• Perform routine data entry and maintain employee records.
• Support HR initiatives and projects as directed.
