Job summary

Capital One National Association is seeking a Manager, Human Resource Vertical Risk Advisor to guide HR risk policy implementation, provide day-to-day risk support across the ERM framework, and partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure adherence to employment and privacy laws.

The role involves HR risk assessments, regulatory applicability reviews, control documentation in FUSE, and collaboration with HR to maintain compliant process documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years risk management or HR experience; 2+ years process management.
• Preferred qualifications: bachelor’s degree; 6+ years HR experience; 6+ years process management; 3+ years stakeholder interaction; 2+ years influencing senior leadership; Agile or Design Thinking; GRC software experience; controls development and reporting.

Responsibilities

• HR risk assessments of new or changing intent to ensure proper risk review.
• Review regulatory applicability with HR, Legal and Compliance.
• Document and manage HR controls in the Risk Management system (FUSE).
• Support HR issues and events in line with ERM standards.
• Document HR policies per Corporate Policy Office and Wdesk.
• Assist audits and exams.
• Assess impact of regulatory changes on employment and privacy laws; implement plans.
• Advise on HR functional area documentation and enterprise requirements.
• Support Enterprise Assessments (Process Criticality, Process Level Assessments, RCSA).
• Help develop risk management and reporting to drive accountability in HR.
• Provide guidance on implementing risk policies and programs to business partners.
