Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Human Resources Representative to provide frontline HR support and accurate responses to inquiries. The role handles onboarding and offboarding, HR transactions, and compliance, with a focus on confidentiality and customer service excellence.

The position requires 1 year of HR or administrative experience, strong Workday skills, and the ability to escalate complex issues as needed. Base pay is hourly with benefits and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• 1 year of administrative or customer services experience (Required)
• 1 year of Human Resources experience required
• Must have Pre and/or Onboarding Experience
• Strong experience with Workday
• Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills
• Understands confidentiality, communication and customer service
• Understands compliance
• Displays Conflict Resolution skills and Escalation of complex issues where needed
• Documentation and Updating HR Records

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time, accurate and comprehensive responses to inquiries regarding general HR-related issues, policies, procedures and processes.
• Process employee related transactions accurately based on research, employee-specific information and process guidelines.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, supports HR cyclical processes and compliance considerations.
• Collaborates with HR team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of employee transactions.
• Delivers service in a professional and efficient manner, providing prompt assistance while managing expectations to achieve high levels of consumer satisfaction.
• Escalates complex issues, where applicable.
• Maintains appropriate documentation and records for HR-related cases.
