Job summary

Universal Transportation Systems in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a full-time Recruiter to lead our hiring efforts for drivers and support staff. You will manage sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews, and work closely with department leaders to anticipate staffing needs.

This role requires minimum high school education, 2 years of recruiting experience, and a valid driver's license preferred. In-person work arrangement and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, and PTO are

• Maintain and update applicant data in the ATS and ensure data accuracy.

Job description

UTS provides transportation for students and Job and Family Services. We primarily service the City of Cincinnati, Warren County, Fairfield, Middletown, Hamilton, West Chester, and Dayton, OH areas.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a clear understanding of employment laws, human resources and recruiting processes.
• Manage recruiting process by developing recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources, and identifying how to attract new talent.
• Meet weekly with the department leadership to identify hiring needs.
• Schedules in-person interviews; contacts no call/no show candidates to obtain feedback and/or reschedule the interview; follows up with candidates to inform them if they do not meet Company requirements for driver eligibility.
• Maintains and updates applicant and interview data in the Applicant Tracking System.
• Conducts in-person interviews with job applicants; reviews skills and background to determine if they meet the position requirements.
• Extends job offers and moves candidates to the pre-employment process.
• Oversees extensive pre-employment background checks, physicals, and drug and alcohol tests; and ensures all of the necessary pre-employment paperwork has been completed before hire.
• Works with fleet and training teams to ensure everything is in place for new hires on their first day.
• Schedules and emails the new hire class list to the training team, scheduling manager, IT, and executive leadership team.
• Assists the HR team with special projects or assignments as needed.
