Job summary

E-Space is hiring an HR People Partner for our California engineering and software teams, onsite in Saratoga. You will own employee relations, manager coaching, and day-to-day People support for California, with remote coverage for international locations.

This full-time, exempt role reports to the Head of People and requires strong California employment law knowledge and startup experience. You will partner with leaders to roll out processes, ensure compliance, and support a growing global

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR / People Partner experience with standalone ER responsibility.
• Significant California employment law knowledge; handled terminations, leaves, accommodations, investigations.
• Background in tech, software, or high-growth startups; experience with engineering staff.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling a plus.
• Exposure to international HR (France/UK/Germany or other jurisdictions) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• ER resource for California employees, handling performance and conduct issues.
• Coach managers on performance and behavior in line with California law.
• Conduct investigations, document findings, and recommend outcomes with Head of People.
• Navigate termination, leave, accommodation, wage/hour considerations; escalate when needed.
• Onsite onboarding support and senior manager partnerships; support international populations.
