Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge with data visualization, analysis, and programming tools: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python.
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts (automation, APIs, data modeling, data management).
  • Enterprising, proactive, self-starter attitude; able to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly and quarterly analytical work; maintain dashboards; handle client and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Lead prediction and forecasting workstreams using HR data; build analytics models.
  • Decommission and consolidate dashboards from Tableau to Power BI.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to drive actionable talent insights and continuous improvement.
  • Support workflows to optimize business processes and implement tech-enabled innovations.

The Position

The People Analytics team at Wellington is seeking a data analytics professional who is motivated by delivering data‑driven insights that enable leaders to proactively plan their talent needs; evaluate and strengthen organizational effectiveness; identify past and future trends leveraging predictive analytics; and make informed talent decisions that drive business outcomes. The co‑op for this team will bring technical expertise to the team to help build analytical models with practical, valuable applications in areas such as strategic workforce planning, attracting and retaining talent, employee engagement, high‑potential talent identification & development, and employee development. This could include AI‑driven analytical solutions, consolidating and streamlining dashboards to simplify user experience, improving our data quality and architecture, and building visualization tools to support scalable and automated analytics. This is a hands‑on opportunity for a curious, data‑driven problem‑solver to apply analytical skills in a real‑world HR environment while collaborating closely with partners across Talent, HR, and broader business teams.

As a data-driven organization, this role is critical to advancing our analytical maturity by fully utilizing our HR data lake to predict future trends, identify leading indicators, define data limits, and evaluate program success. We have an exciting roadmap ahead!

Responsibilities

The co‑op will have day‑to‑day responsibility of supporting our People Analytics function with delivering high‑quality and reliable monthly and quarterly analytical support, maintaining critical dashboards, and supporting client and ad‑hoc reporting requests. Additionally, the role will have a few key projects across all areas of human resources to help advance and scale our reporting capabilities. A sample of your responsibilities might include:

  • Use your technical expertise in data science to lead the prediction and forecasting workstream and build capabilities within HR and cross‑functionally using HR data
  • Proposing, testing and validating AI‑driven analytical models and technology capabilities to redesign the way we work to be more efficient and effective
  • Proactively identify research opportunities by mining data to generate practical talent insights for the business
  • Decommissioning and consolidating reporting dashboards from Tableau to PowerBI data visualization
  • Perform deep‑dive analysis and research to recommend best in class people analytics to drive business success, deliver insights on root causes, drive data consistency, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Support operational efficiency by helping to streamline workflows to optimize business processes and implement technology‑enabled innovation
Qualifications
  • Major in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics or related field preferred
  • Passionate about HR systems and using data to drive business impact
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Value precision, strong attention to detail, and highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with data visualization, analysis, and programming tools, including Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts such as automation, APIs, data modeling, and data management, with a willingness to learn and apply these tools to support team goals
  • Enterprising, forward‑looking, entrepreneurial self‑starter attitude
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, change‑driven environment
  • A positive and proactive work ethic, ability to roll up sleeves and get things done

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

$19-$35 per hour

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
