Job summary

Compassionate Home Health, LTD. in Roseville, CA is seeking an HR & Payroll Assistant to support our growing team in-office. You will handle HR tasks, payroll processing via ADP, onboarding, benefits, and compliance.

Evening and morning scheduling aligns with Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, with starting pay at $24.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The role emphasizes confidentiality, organization, and independence, with opportunities for advancement and a hands-on office

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Previous HR, payroll, administrative, accounting, or related office experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Experience with ADP, QuickBooks, Excel, Word, or Apple/Mac products is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to research questions, solve problems, and follow through on assignments.
• Professional communication style and ability to work effectively with employees and management.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, job postings, applicant communication, interviews, background checks, and hiring paperwork.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate personnel and employment records.
• Prepare and manage employee forms, policies, and acknowledgments.
• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and timekeeping.
• Assist with employee relations, coaching documentation, performance reviews, and corrective action.
• Coordinate employee training and professional development.
• Assist with benefits administration and enrollment.
• Track employee licenses, certifications, required documentation, and compliance items.
• Assist with workers' compensation and workplace safety documentation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, payroll, business, and patient information.
