Job summary

MEMBERS ONLY LLC in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Manager to own day‑to‑day HR operations, payroll processing, and policy development. This hands‑on role partners with leadership to build strong employee relationships and ensure compliant people practices.

You will administer benefits, workers’ compensation, recruiting, onboarding, and performance programs while maintaining HRIS data and safety programs across all locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with hands-on payroll processing.
• Experience in employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with Payroll Partners or similar HRIS system.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership on employee relations, coaching, performance management, and discipline.
• Serve as primary HR and payroll contact for employees and leadership, including policies, payroll, benefits, time off, and compensation.
• Develop, administer, and maintain HR policies, procedures, programs, job descriptions, personnel files, and related documentation to support compliant people practices.
• Manage payroll and HRIS-related processes, including Payroll Partners system administration, time review, PTO tracking, payroll exceptions, benefit changes, and payroll-related reporting.
• Administer employee benefits, workers’ compensation claims, unemployment claims, and performance management programs.
• Manage recruiting and selection activities from job posting through hire, including onboarding and new-hire orientation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Serve as the company’s Safety Program Coordinator, overseeing workplace safety and OSHA compliance across all locations.
• Facilitate safety committee meetings, coordinate workplace inspections and OSHA visits, maintain Safety Data Sheets and safety records, and manage injury investigations.
• Coordinate employee safety training, monitor corrective actions, and maintain written safety and emergency-response programs.
• Partner with department managers, employees, insurers, Ohio BWC, and outside professionals to identify hazards and promote safe working conditions.
• Prepare and process employee termination paperwork and related documentation.
• Prepare, review, and distribute reports, forms, and other business documents.
• Assist with reimbursement requests, expense vouchers, and basic admin/financial records as needed.
