Job summary

Western State Bank in West Fargo, ND is seeking an HR Partner to serve as a trusted resource and coach to leaders across the organization. You’ll support workforce planning, performance conversations, and people strategies that align with our banking culture and core values.

You’ll partner with leaders and HR teams to identify talent needs, design development plans, and drive engagement while upholding our commitment to fair, consistent HR practices across the bank.

Qualifications

• Experience partnering with leaders on a broad range of HR and people-related matters.
• Listen first, ask good questions, and stay curious before jumping to a solution.
• Able to coach, influence, and respectfully challenge leaders when needed.
• Navigate sensitive and complex situations with sound judgment, empathy, and discretion.
• Communicate openly and clearly and build relationships with team members at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with leaders and team members; serve as a go-to partner for HR guidance and support.
• Coach leaders through performance management, development, and difficult conversations.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, talent development, succession planning, and engagement.
• Identify talent needs and work with recruiting and compensation to find solutions.
• Listen to team member feedback, HR data, and business trends to identify opportunities and recommend action.
• Support teams through growth and change with open, thoughtful communication.
• Ensure HR practices are consistent, fair, and aligned with company policies and values.
