Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a hands-on HR Operations & Recruiting Specialist in the San Francisco Bay Area to support our robotics and AI data collection project. You will oversee the employee lifecycle, onboarding, shift-based payroll coordination, and day-to-day HR administration.

This role requires knowledge of California employment basics and operational hiring in fast-moving technical environments, with exposure to next-generation AI and robotics programs.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in HR Operations, People Ops, or recruiting.
• Strong knowledge of California wage-and-hour rules.
• Experience with I-9 compliance and E-Verify.
• Experience administering hourly timecards and payroll systems.
• Excellent communication and organized documentation across shift teams.

Responsibilities

• Screen candidates for entry-level and technical operational roles.
• Own onboarding, I-9, E-Verify, and background checks.
• Oversee payroll coordination and time-tracking for hourly staff.
• Provide day-to-day employee support and HR administration.
