Job summary

FS Studio in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an hands-on HR Operations & Recruiting Specialist to support our robotics and AI data collection project. You will lead initial candidate screening for Robot Teleoperator roles and manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding to payroll and daily HR administration.

This role requires organization, knowledge of California employment basics, and comfort working in a dynamic technical environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of combined experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or Technical/Operational Recruiting.
• Solid understanding of California wage-and-hour rules and compliance requirements.
• Experience with I-9 verification and E-Verify processes (OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B, student work authorizations).
• Hands-on experience administering hourly timecards and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and screening candidates for entry-level and technical operational roles (Robot Teleoperators).
• Lead end-to-end onboarding, I-9 verification, E-Verify processing, and background checks.
• Coordinate training, site access, and badge readiness with onsite operations.
• Audit timesheets, manage payroll data, and address payroll inquiries promptly.
