Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking an HR Operations Intern to support daily HR tasks, onboarding, HRIS management, benefits, payroll, compliance, employee relations and safety, gaining hands-on experience across HR functions.

You will work with the HR team on onboarding reviews, records maintenance, policy projects, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance the associate experience and ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the onboarding process by reviewing new hire documentation.
• Maintain and update HR information systems (HRIS) and personnel records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Help with associate benefits administration and support associates with benefit-related inquiries.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining HR files, records, and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team, such as filing, answering phone calls, and responding to email inquiries.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives, contributing to process improvements and policy development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a positive associate experience and address HR-related issues
