Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking an HR Specialist to optimize HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on data accuracy, reporting, and managing employee relations to support a high-performing workforce.

You will partner with EHS and Operations to uphold safety culture, manage onboarding and records, ensure HRIS integrity, and prepare turnover and staffing reports while upholding compliance and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of HR experience.
• Strong administrative, reporting, and data management skills.
• Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, UKG Workforce Management.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or other operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with EHS and Operations teams to champion a strong safety culture.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and psychological safety.
• Promote positive associate relations by resolving associate concerns proactively and providing excellent customer service.
• Serve as the main Timekeeper for Fiberon, partnering closely with the Payroll team to execute a smooth payroll process each week.
• Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve service levels across the organization.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and workflow tools.
• Support onboarding, employee record management, status changes, and offboarding activities.
• Ensure HR transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain data integrity across HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and talent management systems.
• Prepare and analyze reports related to turnover, absenteeism, staffing, engagement, training, and workforce demographics.
• Conduct audits to ensure employee records, organizational structures, and workforce data remain accurate and compliant.
• Partner with the Leaves & Accommodations team to support FMLA, ADA, and other leave-of-absence cases.
• Support HR Generalists with investigating employee concerns, policy violations, complaints, and workplace conflicts in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
• Assist in organizing company functions and community relations activities.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
