Job summary

Bayside Community Church in Bradenton, FL, is seeking an HR Generalist to support the Executive Director and Associate Director. The role focuses on pre-onboarding, HRIS, compliance, and benefits while leveraging AI and automation to improve processes and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will manage HR data, coordinate benefits, and support HR leadership with administration, reporting, and employee relations escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR, benefits, HRIS, payroll or employee-service preferred.
• Strong technology skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Familiarity with Paycor preferred.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools and workflow automation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
• Strong customer-service mindset and ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
• Ability to recognize when an issue should be escalated rather than independently resolved.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-Onboarding and New Hire Administration from offer to first day.
• Serve as primary HR contact for incoming employees during pre-onboarding.
• Ensure all new-hire documents are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate HRIS and other HR systems setup.
• Coordinate Form I-9 and eligibility documentation.
• Communicate with new hires and leaders about requirements and deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve pre-onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee information within the HRIS.
• Process data changes (job, department, supervisor, compensation, etc).
• Conduct HRIS audits and maintain records.
• Generate HR reports for leadership and protect data privacy.
• Develop dashboards and automated workflows to improve HR information access.
