GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the leadership of the AVP of HR Business Partners and Employee Relations, the HR Operations Manager will lead and supervise the MyHR Solutions Hub team while working on both strategic and tactical HR projects in support of HR initiatives. In this critical role, the HR Ops Manager will manage a team that manages airport records, transactional HR inquiries, and delivers extraordinary employee experiences. This position is responsible for supporting key HR initiatives as well as enterprise policy management. As a strategic advisor to the AVP of HRBPs & ER, this position will support high-level HRBP and ER operations, project management and collaborate across teams to enhance and advance HR processes, policies, communication, and overall operational efficiency.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Leads and manages the HR solutions hub, which is responsible for level 1 HCM support (Workday), employee records, policy and benefit questions, as well as the creation, assignment, and tracking of HR service tickets.
- Ensures team members provide accurate, timely, and efficient HR solutions to employees, managers and other stakeholders while achieving service level agreements.
- Fosters a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on continuous improvement and exceptional customer service. Oversees the development of team knowledge, training, and resources to maintain excellence in HR operations.
- Partners with HR business partners, employee relations and leaders across the organization to manage and implement strategic and tactical HR projects.
- Serves as lead support for HRBPs on key HR initiatives, including but not limited to, talent management, employee engagement, and/or organizational development.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and drive the successful delivery of HR programs.
- Acts as the lead policy manager, ensuring airport policies and procedures are regularly updated and aligned with legal requirements, best practices, and organizational needs.
- Manages periodic reviews of existing policies, driving the development of new policies as required to address evolving business needs.
- Provides strategic and operational support to the AVP of HRBPs and ER by managing day-to-day functions including reporting, project management, SLAs and tracking of key performance indicators.
- Serves as a liaison between the AVP and various departments to ensure smooth communication and execution of HR priorities.
- Drives execution of HR department initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines. Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or public administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in HR, Operations, and/or related function.
- Two (2) plus years of supervisor/lead experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning applications, records and information management systems, and other sophisticated databases or business applications that are used to process or manage critical data.
- Knowledge of general HR administration theory, principles and practices.
- Knowledge of policies, practices, legal, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to develop succinct and clear business documents that capture and convey management’s intent without being overly prescriptive.
- Ability to utilize databases for advanced query and reporting purposes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- Skilled in creating materials for meetings, presentations and internal communications for airport senior leaders.
- Ability to drive projects and initiatives, with a track record of successful outcomes.
- Ability to manage and develop team and oversee operational functions.
- Ability to demonstrate an employee and customer-centric focus.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in policy development and implementation at an enterprise level.
- Familiarity with HR analytics and process optimization.
- Experience working with senior leaders and executives in an HR operations capacity.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar HR certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
