Job summary

A-1 Little John Site Services in Denison, TX is seeking an HR Manager to lead day-to-day human resources operations, payroll, benefits, and credentials management, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness across the workforce, including drivers.

The role partners with department leaders to enforce hiring, performance, and policy systems, maintains documentation, and coordinates DOT screening, workers' comp, and compliance, while delivering a strong employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR operations experience with HRIS and benefits administration.
• Experience administering Paycor (or similar HRIS/payroll platforms).
• Experience with benefits operations, life events, reconciliation, and vendor management.
• Experience owning payroll processing and compliance, including deductions and garnishments.
• Experience enforcing timekeeping and approval processes with department managers.
• Experience coordinating background checks, drug testing, and DOT screening with third-party admins.
• Strong documentation, accuracy, and deadline management.
• Exceptional communication and culture-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Paycor HRIS system and ensure data integrity and process consistency.
• Administer core employee lifecycle transactions including hires, changes, and org updates.
• Partner with HRIS IT for workflows, security roles, and configuration; coordinate testing.
• Manage system updates, releases, and training for HR partners and managers.
• Coordinate termination processes end-to-end across internal partners and systems.
• Collaborate to maximize Paycor ATS, HR, and LMS systems.
• Oversee benefits administration including eligibility, enrollments, and billing.
• Manage vendor relationships and renewals for benefits and insurance.
• Own payroll processing, PTO, and timekeeping compliance for the company.
• Coordinate DOT background checks, drug testing, and safety credentialing.
• Maintain documentation for employee certifications and fleet registration.
• Produce HR dashboards and reports; drive process improvements.
