A-1 Little John is seeking an HR Manager who will own payroll, benefits, HRIS, and DOT credentialing for the entire company, building scalable systems that keep our people paid and compliant. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR operations experience with hands-on HRIS and benefits ownership.
• Experience administering Paycor or a similar HRIS/payroll platform.
• Experience coordinating DOT screening and third-party credentialing.
• Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Excellent communication with leaders, managers, IT, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Own Paycor data integrity, workflows, and system utilization.
• Manage onboarding, job changes, and org updates per policy and audit standards.
• Collaborate with HRIS IT Partner on workflow configuration and security roles.
• Educate managers on hiring, performance, and accountability systems.
• Maintain employee, performance, and termination documentation.
• Coordinate terminations end-to-end across platforms.
• Administer benefits and broker/vendor relationships.
• Own full-cycle payroll and PTO administration.
• Train managers on time tracking and approvals.
• Ensure wage/hour and garnishment compliance.
• DOT background checks, drug/alcohol testing, credentialing.
• Maintain driver files and fleet compliance.
• Own workers' comp, dashboards, and credentialing status.
• Improve HR processes and controls.
