Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 / Annually
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9-5 pm

Seeking a hands‑on HR Generalist to support a growing transportation operation. This position partners closely with CDL drivers, shop teams, and office staff in an operations‑driven environment. The role focuses heavily on compliance, payroll accuracy, HRIS management, and day‑to‑day employee support.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Compliance & Driver Qualification
- Track CDL licenses, endorsements, and medical card expirations
- Administer drug and alcohol testing programs (pre‑employment, random, post‑accident, etc.)
- Coordinate DOT onboarding requirements including MVR/PSP, Clearinghouse, medical cards, and road test documentation
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and applicable federal and state employment laws
- Support updates to HR, safety policies, and compliance documentation
Recruiting & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage full‑cycle recruiting for CDL drivers, technicians, and office personnel
- Lead new hire orientation and oversee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Provide support to managers on performance documentation and employee relations
Payroll, HRIS & Benefits Administration
- Process payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain HRIS data integrity through audits and validation
- Generate workforce and compliance reports
- Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries
Culture & Operations Support
- Support driver engagement initiatives including safety meetings and recognition efforts
- Partner with leadership to maintain a strong, compliant workplace culture
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of HR generalist experience with payroll exposure
- Experience supporting a trucking, transportation, logistics, or blue‑collar workforce
- Hands‑on experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to compliance documentation
- Ability to manage confidential information professionally
- Strong communication skills across diverse employee groups
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in fast‑growth environments wearing multiple hats
- Understanding of wage and hour laws, overtime, EEO, and leave regulations
- Familiarity with shift‑based operations, safety initiatives, and driver engagement
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Texas for onboarding and compliance needs
