GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a motivated HR Operations Intern to support I-9 and E-Verify activities across U.S. and Puerto Rico locations.

You will assist UX and UAT efforts for HR applications and benefits, while learning HR compliance and process improvement in a fast-paced environment. The role is on-site at GE Appliances Park in Louisville, KY, requiring full-time learning during breaks and part-time hours during school.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university.
• Available to work 20-24 hours per week during the school year and full-time during breaks.
• On-site at GE Appliances Park in Louisville, KY.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Desired: experience with Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUPs; familiarity with Workday, Alight, E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Support the I-9 and E-Verify process across GE Appliances locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
• Review records and daily reports to help ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance-related tasks.
• Assist with internal audits of I-9 and E-Verify documentation and address issues as needed.
• Complete Form I-9 activities in Workday and E-Verify tasks in the DHS system.
• Help ensure Tentative Non-conformations (TNCs) are handled and resolved promptly.
• Respond to HR questions and support day-to-day operational requests.
• Partner on UX and UAT efforts related to benefits and HR applications improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation of more efficient workflows.
• Will support other areas of HR Operations as needed, including HR Technology and Payroll.
