Job summary

Financial Statement Services, Inc. is seeking an organized HR Operations & Compliance Generalist to join its Santa Ana, CA team. The role supports the full employee life cycle and ensures HR programs run smoothly.

You will manage leaves of absence and workers' compensation, administer rewards, support employee inquiries, and help keep HR policies up to date in a fully onsite environment, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years in HR operations or employee support roles.
  • Payroll and benefits experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, reporting tools, and case management platforms.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish with fluency in writing and speaking.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving; multitasking ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Run and support key HR programs, including performance management, benefits, employee relations and compliance.
  • Assist in the management of leave requests (FMLA, ADA, personal, etc.), ensuring compliance and timely communication.
  • Serve as liaison with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve workers' comp claims and accommodations.
  • Administer and evolve employee recognition initiatives and service awards; track program effectiveness.
  • Respond to HR-related questions from employees; maintain knowledge base and investigate workplace issues.
  • May conduct safety training, and training on new policies, procedures or new legislation.
  • Ensure documentation and systems are up to date and aligned with company policies.
  • Continually monitor HR trends and federal/state laws.
  • May assist HR team with payroll and benefits.

We're looking for an organized, proactive, and people-focused HR Operations & Compliance Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Santa Ana, CA. This position provides comprehensive support across the full employee life cycle. The responsibilities include coordinating leaves of absence and workers' compensation processes, administering reward and recognition initiatives, and delivering timely, empathetic employee support. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth HR operations, positive employee experiences, and consistent program delivery.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30/5:00 pm. This is fully onsite position.

Your Essential Duties:
  • HR Programs & Initiatives

    • Run and support key HR programs, including performance management, benefits, employee relations and compliance.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations or employee support roles.
  • Payroll and Benefits experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, reporting tools, and case management platforms.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required; must be able to communicate fluently in both languages, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must demonstrate consistent and strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
