Logan Property Management isseekingan organized, proactiveHR & Operations Assistantto support our Corporate HR and Operations teams across our multi-site property management portfolio, including both Affordable Housing and Conventional communities.
This is a hands-on support role for someone who enjoys keeping people, projects, deadlines, and information organized. The HR & Operations Assistant willassistwithrecruiting, onboarding, employee administration, training coordination, operational tracking, property follow-up, and special projects.
The ideal candidate is professional, responsive, detail-oriented, comfortable following up with others, and able to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is afull-time, temp-to-hire opportunitydesigned to provide immediate support while allowing both the employee and LPM to evaluate long-term fit and growth opportunities.
HR, Recruiting & Onboarding
- Assistwith candidate outreach, interview scheduling, applicant tracking, and recruiting follow-up.
- Maintain recruiting pipelines and update candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including training schedules, system access, equipment,requireddocumentation, and first-daylogistics.
- Track completion of onboarding requirements and assigned training.
- Assistwith offboardinglogisticsand administrative checklists.
- Maintain HR trackers, employee documentation, process guides, and internal resources.
- Draft routine HR communications, reminders, and follow-up emails.
- Route employee questions and requests to theappropriate HRor Corporate team member.
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
Operations & Property Support
- Track weekly and monthly property deliverables, deadlines, and outstanding items.
- Follow up with onsite teamsregardingrequested reports, documentation, and incomplete submissions.
- Assist Corporate and Regional leadership with organizing property-level priorities and action items.
- Collect and organize information related to occupancy, delinquency, inspections, compliance, and other operational reporting.
- Maintain operational trackers, reports, documentation, and records.
- Assistwith special projects, property transitions, and new operational initiatives.
- Identifymissing information andapproachingdeadlines and escalate items requiringadditionalattention.
Compliance, Accounting & Vendor Support
- Assistwith tracking Affordable Housing compliance deadlines, certifications, recertifications, inspections, and outstanding documentation.
- Help organize documentation for MOR, NSPIRE/REAC, file audits, and other property inspections.
- Coordinate with Accounting and onsite teamsregardingmissing invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Assistwith vendor setup and communication.
- Collect and organize bids, proposals, contracts, and supportingCapExdocumentation.
- Track outstanding financial and operational submissions from properties.
This position provides administrative and tracking support; compliance, accounting, and operational decisionsremainwith theappropriate departmentor manager.
Communication & Follow-Through
- Draft emails, reminders, and operational communications for HR and Corporate Leadership.
- Follow up with employees and managersregardingdeadlines, requested information, and outstanding items.
- Help coordinate communication between HR, Operations, Accounting, Compliance, Maintenance, and onsite teams.
- Maintain clear notes, action items, and follow-up trackers.
- Escalate overdue, unresolved, or sensitive matters to theappropriate leader.
- Exercise good judgmentregardingwhat can be handled independently and what requires management review.
Corporate & Onsite Support
- Assistwith maintainingCorporateprocess guides, templates, training materials, and shared resources.
- Occasionally provide administrative and organizational support at San Diego-area properties during staffing transitions, inspections, training, or other operational needs.
- Help reinforce consistentCorporateprocesses across properties.
- Provideadditionaladministrative and project support based on changing business priorities.
- 1–2+ years of experience in administrative support, Human Resources, recruiting, operations, property management, or a similar fast-paced professional environment preferred.
- Property management experience is preferred but notrequired.
- Experience supporting multiple managers, departments, or locations is a plus.
- Affordable Housing exposure, including HUD, LIHTC/Tax Credit, or Section 8, is a plus.
- Experience with an ATS, HRIS, property management platform, or similar business system is preferred.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and shared tracking tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
- Comfortable professionally following up with employees and managers atdifferent levelsof the organization.
- Strong judgment regarding when to take action and when to elevate.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle employee and business information.
- Reliable, proactive, resourceful, and willing to learn.
- Location: Primarily onsite at LPM's Corporate Office in San Diego, CA, with occasional support at local properties.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday.
- Classification: Non-exempt and eligible for overtimein accordance withapplicable law.
