Job summary

United Future in the Knoxville area seeks an HR Manager for its Trucking/Transportation division, overseeing 450+ drivers and staff including terminal managers and dispatchers. The role leads two HR Generalists/Recruiters and coordinates driver background checks, pre-employment medical screenings, and DOT physicals.

Qualified candidates will hold a BS degree and PHR or SPHR certification, with FMCSA compliance and driver qualification file experience.

Qualifications

BS degree required and PHR or SPHR certification.
Experience with FMCSA Compliance and Driver Qualification files is required.
Experience in the Truck Driving/Transportation industry or related Logistics field.
Lead two HR Generalists / Recruiters as part of a multi-site role.
Willingness to travel is limited; relocation is available.

Responsibilities

Coordinate Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, and DOT Physicals.
Lead interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding of new drivers.
Maintain and develop employee benefits programs; implement retention and training initiatives.
Oversee HR processes across multiple sites with minimal travel.
Support leadership with compliance and workforce planning.
