Job summary

MDS Staffing in Knoxville, TN, seeks an HR Manager for our trucking/transportation division, overseeing 450+ drivers and support personnel across multiple sites. This leadership role will drive HR strategy and compliance in a high-demand logistics environment.

You will lead two HR Generalists/Recruiters, coordinate driver background checks, pre-employment medical screenings and DOT physicals, and develop benefits, retention, and training programs.

Qualifications

• BS degree required.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience with FMCSA Compliance and Driver Qualification files required.
• Truck driving/transportation industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate driver background checks, pre-employment medical screenings, and DOT physicals.
• Lead two HR Generalists/Recruiters.
• Develop and maintain employee benefit programs, retention, development, and training.
