Job summary

Management Performance Associates seeks an HR Manager for a major corporation in the greater Knoxville area, overseeing trucking/transportation operations with 450+ drivers and support staff. The role leads two HR Generalists/Recruiters and coordinates driver background checks, pre-employment screenings, and DOT physicals to ensure compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold a BS degree and PHR or SPHR certification, with FMCSA compliance and Driver Qualification experience in the transportation

Qualifications

• BS degree required and PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience with FMCSA compliance and Driver Qualification files is required.
• Experience in Truck Driving / Transportation or related logistics field.
• Strong interviewing, hiring and on-boarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead two HR Generalists / Recruiters across multiple sites.
• Coordinate Driver Background Checks, pre-employment medical screenings and DOT physicals.
• Develop and maintain employee benefit programs and retention initiatives.
• Handle interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new drivers.
