Job summary

Express Employment Professionals, partnering with a nonprofit in Olympia, WA, seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager. This direct-hire, full-time role focuses on payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR compliance, with oversight of recruiting and employee relations in a nonprofit setting.

You will manage payroll, HR data accuracy in the HRIS, annual benefits open enrollment, and leave programs while supporting managers and employees across the organization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of HR, payroll, and benefits experience.
• Hands-on payroll processing experience required.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, employment laws, HR policies, procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Create payroll reports and staff budget reports.
• Maintain accurate employee, payroll, and HR information within the HRIS system.
• Coordinate recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Lead annual benefits open enrollment and coordinate with benefits providers.
• Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA and paid family leave.
