Job summary

Compass Group USA, with Chartwells Higher Education, is seeking an HR Manager in a role centered on labor relations, employee relations, and workforce development across multiple accounts. This in-person position requires partnering with leaders to coach teams and drive diversity initiatives in a multi-site setting.

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least 5 years of HR generalist experience, including labor relations. PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years HR generalist and employee relations experience, with multi-unit responsibility a strong plus.
• Strong experience in labor relations and union environments.
• Background in high customer-facing, service-driven industries preferred.
• PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR liaison for union-represented employees, ensuring CBAs are consistently interpreted and applied.
• Conduct investigations and support grievance processes with unit management and HR documentation.
• Partner with Operations leadership to resolve labor issues while mitigating risk.
• Support contract negotiations through data analysis and participation as a key HR advisor.
• Provide strategic guidance on labor trends, risk mitigation, and workforce planning.
