Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Senior Manager Labor Relations and HR for a collaboration with the University of Kentucky. The role focuses on strategic HR objectives, policy application, and cross-functional leadership to support students, staff, and partners in a large-scale campus/hospitality environment.

The position requires extensive HR generalist experience, strong employment-law knowledge, and the ability to partner with senior management across departments.

Qualifications

• PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
• Five+ years HR generalist experience required; management experience required.
• Content-knowledge regarding employment law, policies, procedures, and programs.
• Experience in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
• Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all Company HR related policies are applied consistently.
• Coaches associates and management through complex and difficult issues; provides guidance on disciplinary action.
• Assists with on-site investigations.
• Oversees hourly recruitment and onboarding.
• Maintains and coordinates associate recognition programs.
• Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.
• Regularly runs and/or reviews HR activity reports.
• Supports internal customer survey and associate engagement survey interpretation/feedback process.
