Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking an HR Manager to provide field and corporate support with emphasis on associate relations, frontline recruitment, training, and diversity across a multi-site portfolio. Travel to multiple sites is required.

You will partner with operations to ensure HR best practices, culture, and compliance to meet client and employee expectations. The ideal candidate has multi-unit HR experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of multi-unit HR generalist and associate relations experience.
  • Experience in a high customer-contact setting (food & beverage, hospitality HR preferred).
  • Demonstrated success partnering with leadership as a trusted, consensus-building HR practitioner who stays close to operations.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and proactive, tactful communication with all levels of associates.
  • SPHR/PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and conducts management training related to terminations, sexual harassment, performance management, interviewing, selection, and hiring.
  • Investigates and advises management on associate relations issues and resolves them appropriately.
  • Coordinates exit interviews to understand reasons for separations.
  • Recommends actions to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Supports internal customer survey and associate satisfaction interpretation/feedback process.
  • Attends operational meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, provide assistance, and implement account HR initiatives.
  • Assists managers in developing and implementing recruitment plans to increase qualified applicant flow.
  • Provides support and tools to unit management for building relations and presenting opportunities at schools, organizations, community associates, and job fairs.
  • Identifies critical needs areas and takes appropriate steps to rectify problems.
  • Coordinates new-hire orientation and management training.
  • Serves as a key culture champion for the operations portfolio.
  • Prepares and presents HR-related topics at field operations workshops for HR training and development.
  • Conducts regular HR training (sexual harassment, progressive discipline, HR 101, etc.).
  • Supports Preferred Employer objectives and HR business plan by attending operational meetings.

Job Summary: Working as the HR Manager, you will provide field and corporate support with an emphasis in associate relations, frontline associate recruitment, training, and diversity.
