Job summary

Yum & Chill Restaurant Group in New Jersey seeks an experienced HR Manager to lead HR policy development, payroll administration, benefits management, and compliance across franchise locations. You will implement programs to attract, develop, and retain talent while maintaining our culture of safety and inclusion.

As a hands-on leader, you will travel to sites as needed, partner with leadership, and ensure HR operations scale with rapid growth in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of HR and payroll management experience.
• QSR and fast-food HR experience preferred.
• CPP or PHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Employee Handbook to ensure compliance.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping and driving our HR strategy where you will spearhead the creation, development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and services. You'll oversee a range of HR activities for franchise restaurants to streamline operations, ensure compliance, and focus resources on core strengths for effective business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve Human Resource-related issues including employee relations, employee complaints, performance management, recruiting/workforce planning, career development, and salary planning.
• Keep the Employee Handbook updated with compliance.
• Travel to our locations if needed.
• Administration of benefit plans such as group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, retirement plans, medical leaves, etc.
• Assist in posting and recruiting for new job openings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices or regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in HR and payroll management.
• QSR and Fast Food Industry HR experience preferred.
• Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software (e.g., Paycor, Workday, TriNet Zenefits).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
• Certification such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or PHR (Professional in Human Resources) is a plus.
