Summary/Objective

In keeping with our organization's goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, the Human Resource Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function.

Essential Functions
  • 1. Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.
  • 2. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance.
  • 3. Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
  • 4. Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • 5. Processes payroll on a regular basis and ensures accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • 6. Administers workers compensation program and works closely with workers compensation carrier to ensure claims are processed timely.
  • 7. Administers the employee benefits program and assists with annual employee benefits open enrollment process.
  • 8. Assists department managers with disciplinary procedures and ensures disciplinary actions are administered fairly and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • 9. Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for the Human Resources Department.
  • 12. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
  • 17. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
  • 19. Be knowledgeable in data collection, data analysis methodology, and performance improvement methods needed to support and lead performance improvement projects.
  • 20. Identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations, and consultation with leadership and staff.
  • 24. Participate in compliance training as scheduled and adhere to compliance plan.
Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a similar field. Two years' experience in a H.R. role, preferably in a health care setting.

Preferred Education and Experience

PHR or SPHR certification. 5 years of related experience.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local requirements and regulations.
