Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) is seeking a Human Resources intern in Findlay, OH. Interns work with HR Business Partners on projects across performance management, labor relations, recruiting, training, and policy administration, gaining hands-on experience in a large energy company.

Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate HR or Labor & Industrial Relations program, maintain strong academic performance, be authorized to work in the US, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a graduate program for Human Resources or Labor & Industrial Relations.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program for the duration of the experience.
• Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support HR Business Partner organization with projects related to performance management, employee relations, compensation, recruiting, training and development, and diversity initiatives.
• Interact with client groups on HR issues and contribute to policy administration and program facilitation.
• Assist with data analysis, workforce planning, and community relations initiatives.
