Job summary

McCarthy-Bush Corporation in Davenport, IA is seeking a Human Resources Intern for Summer 2027. The role exposes you to many aspects of an HR generalist, supporting HR and Payroll teams and assisting with talent acquisition, onboarding, retention and off-boarding.

You will prepare documents, facilitate phone screenings, create offer letters, assist with job descriptions and other administrative duties, while building relationships with stakeholders at multiple worksites in the Quad Cities area.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate from HR, business administration, organizational development, or related field.
• Excellent communicator with ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Interested in learning multiple roles within HR and handling multiple projects.
• Go-getter with strong attention to detail and computer skills.
• High school diploma required; valid driver’s license; able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist all aspects of the employee lifecycle including talent acquisition, onboarding, retention and off-boarding.
• Prepare and maintain documents, facilitate phone screenings, create offer letters, assist with job description creation and other administrative duties.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders at multiple worksites within the Quad Cities area; reliable transportation is important.
