Job summary

McCarthy Bush Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will support HR and Payroll across the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, retention and off-boarding, and will help with documents, screenings, letters, and job descriptions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and valid driver’s license.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Enrollment in, or recent graduation from, HR/BA/organizational development or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR and Payroll in all facets of the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, retention and off-boarding.
• Prepare and maintain documents, facilitate phone screenings, create offer letters and assist with job description creation.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders at multiple worksites within the Quad Cities area; reliable transportation is important.
