Job summary

Magna International Limited is seeking a HR Intern to provide quality HR compliance and support to the HR team and Magna New Mobility employees. The role involves assisting in policy updates, orientation materials, and recruitment tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality of information within the HR department.

The position is designed for students or those in a co-op arrangement, offering exposure to general HR activities and daily project support within Magna’s corporate environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college/university enrollment preferred.
• HR or business-related degree helpful.
• Strong MS Office and professional communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to the Human Resources team.
• Maintain confidentiality of information in HR processes.
• Assist in updating policies, orientation slides, filings, and new hire packets.
• Assist recruitment including resume screening, phone screens, and reference checks.
• Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents for site-wide communications.
• Handle employee requests with responsiveness and escalation as needed.
• Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of HR projects.
• Support Sr. HR Generalist and Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist.
